The idea of panslawizm in medicine

Abstract

”Panslawizm” is a general term, which describes a doctrine and cultural and political movement developed at the
begining of XIX century in Czech Republic, which was focused on liberation and economic and cultural unification
of slovian nation. The above article was written to present the cooperation of slovian doctors with connection to
historical facts and general political situation. We also demonstrate the begininning of “medical panslawizm” in Middle
Europe, its organization forms, research achievements and short analysis of the reasons of its collapse.
