Treatment of patients with aplastic anemia

Abstract
The concepts of treatment of patients with aplastic anemia have significantly evolved in recent years. This is due to improved outcomes of both family and unrelated donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantations as well as to revised results of immunosuppressive therapy. In this paper we present current treatment modalities and recommendations in this life-threatening disease.
