Abstract

Abstract Gene therapy is an innovative way of treating genetic disorders, which enables removal or repair of genetic defects. Strategies of gene therapy offer new perspectives in treating cancer diseases. Numerous methods for specifically removing tumor cells are currently used. They can be divided into five main strategies: compensation of mutation effect using repression of mutated gene expression, antiangiogenic therapy, and suicidal genes to eliminate tumor cells or genetic immunotherapy. In the following work actual research status on gene therapy of gynecologic malignances has been presented.
