Abstract

Abstract Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease that can be encountered during pregnancy, especially in endemic areas such as Latin America, Africa, Asia, Mediterranean countries and eastern region of Turkey. We present a case of a 19-year-old pregnant woman of 19-20 weeks gestation diagnosed with brucellosis. Main presentation at admission were hematuria and nausea. Advanced investigations revealed blood culture positive for brucella. Abortion occurred in the course of medical therapy.
