Endoskopowa rękawowa gastroplastyka

Streszczenie
W artykule omówiono nową, małoinwazyjną procedurę, alternatywną do leczenia chirurgicznego otyłości — endoskopową rękawową gastroplastykę (ESG). Zabieg ten prowadzi do zmniejszenia objętości żołądka o 70–80%. Polega na założeniu szwów zbliżających ścianę przednią z krzywizną większą i ścianą tylną , w głównej mierze w trzonie i części dna żołądka. Na podstawie przytoczonych badań można stwierdzić, że ESG jest dobra alternatywą dla leczenia chirurgicznego, co prawda nieco mniej skuteczną, ale o zdecydowanie rzadszych i lżejszych powikłaniach.
