Testy genetyczne w praktyce gastroenterologicznej
Streszczenie
Ze względu na duże koszty dostępność testów genetycznych w codziennej praktyce lekarskiej jest ograniczona. W ostatnich latach obserwuje się natomiast dynamiczny rozwój testów genetycznych skierowanych bezpośrednio do pacjentów. Dlatego konieczne staje odróżnienie chorób, w których diagnostyka genetyczna jest niezbędna do ustalenia pewnego rozpoznania, od tych, w których potrzeba badań genetycznych jest ograniczona, bądź nie ma jej wcale. W niniejszym artykule szczegółowo omówiono diagnostykę chorób gastroenterologicznych wymagających badań genetycznych: choroby trzewnej, hemochromatozy, choroby Wilsona i dziedzicznego zapalenia trzustki. Scharakteryzowano także pozostałe choroby z zakresu gastroenterologii, gastroonkologii i zakaźnych chorób gastroenterologicznych, w których badania genetyczne mogą być przydatne.
