Cardiovascular incident in the first days after transplantation — a case report
Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death in renal transplant recipients and cause of loss of transplanted organ. The diagnosis of coronary heart disease in a population of patients with kidney disease is especially difficult. This is due to the imposition of a many factors of cardiovascular risk in this population and diagnostic problems. We present a 47-year-old kidney recipient who had a heart attack in the first days after transplantation. We analyze cardiac diagnostics before renal transplantation and the difficulties with treatment of coronary incident in the peritransplant period.
