Abstract

Vasculitis IgA (HSP, Henoch-Schönlein purpura) is aninflammation of the small vessels, most commonly manifested as skin lesions of purpura, articular pain, abdominal pain, and quite often is accompanied by glomerulonephritis. Renal involvement is manifested by hematuria and/or proteinuria in urine and sometimes increase of serum creatinine level. The disease can lead to the development of end-stage renal disease and finally renal replacement therapy, including kidney transplantation. Recurrence of HSP in the renal graft is an important clinical problem because if undiagnosed and not treated can lead to graft lost. The following case shows that the early diagnosis of HSP recurrence and intensive treatment allowed the achievement of diseaseremission and preservation of graft function.
