The nurse’s role in reducing the development of diabetic kidney disease

Abstract

Diabetes is a social disease and one of the biggest health threats of the modern world. Can be run for many years without any symptoms while causing irreversible changes in the patient’s body. One of the significant long-term complications of diabetes is advanced renal failure requiring renal replacement therapy. Awareness of patient care on the presence of diabetes is essential renoprotective in terms of physical, emotional and social. Skillful use of knowledge in everyday life with the disease limits the progress of diabetes and dismisses the start of renal replacement therapy. The main purpose of this article is to draw attention to the shortage of specialist care in the field of diabetic kidney disease among patients coming from rural areas and small towns. This work is also an attempt to determine the untapped potential in nursing described in relation to a group of patients in reducing diabetic complications. The study was based on self-study material referring to the content of the article.
