Abstract

In patients treated with the new oral anticoagulants with atrial fibrillation may need to perform surgical procedures in
emergency. The authors present a case of a patient treated with the anticoagulation with rivaroxaban 20 mg requiring urgent surgical intervention. At 69-year-old patient underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy after 24 hours after the last dose of rivaroxaban, and found no bleeding complications.
