We thank Dr. Al-Nimer for his comments on issues related to our work [1]. In our study, after measuring the grip strength of both hands, the relative hand grip strength (RHGS) was calculated using the grip strength of the one with the larger measured value. It should be added that all participants in this study were right-handed. In addition, 71.5% of the population used in this study was male, and we mentioned that the results were obtained in such a population. We also confirmed that gender was not a factor affecting RHGS in our study. The differences between the previous report and the results of this study were discussed in the discussion section, but the points made by Dr. Al-Nimer may be worth considering. Although nutritional status may be a factor affecting the results of this study, prealbumin levels were measured to determine nutritional status and confirmed that there were no problems in the participants.
