Progress in lower limb critical ischemia treatment — publications review
open access
Abstract
The authors present modern diagnostic approaches and capabilities in critical limb ischemia diagnostic, including the modifications of DSA. They evaluate the role of angioCT, MRI in the diagnostic of arteriosclerotic patients and the limitations in choosing the best revascularization (by-pas anastomosis or angiosome orientated endovascular procedure). They present description and results of the best surgical treatment; with bypass revascularisation, endovascular approach with PTA as well as with stent implantation. They also discuss the retrograde arterial recanalization in infrapopliteal area.
