Psychological support for patients following myocardial infarction

Abstract
The paper presents the principal psychological problems in patients following myocardial
infarction. Particular emphasis has been placed on anxiety and depression following myocardial
infarction and behavioural patterns adversely affecting health. A proposal of actions
during cardiac rehabilitation has been presented in accordance with the severity of psychological
problems encountered in the patients.
