Abstract

Carbamazepine - an antiepileptic drug is used in the treatment of several conditions (other than epilepsy) as neuropathic pain syndromes, bipolar disorder and dysphoria in organic brain disease. In spite of many drug interactions and adverse effects carbamazepine is commonly used in palliative medicine.
