Abstract

Ocular melanoma is associated with increased risk of liver metastases. The mean survival is only between 2–11 months after diagnosis. We describe 5 patients with liver metastases of ocular melanoma, only 1 patient being asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis. The most patients are diagnosed too late, so followup should include abdominal ultrasonography and liver enzymes.
