Abstract

A significant increase of knowledge on EBV-related post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder has been observed recently. This reflects increase in number of transplants from alternative donors, development of diagnostics based on quantitative EBV-DNA-emia and new therapeutic possibilities including monoclonal anti-CD20 antibodies or cytotoxic anti-EBV specific T lymphocytes (CTL).

On October 15, 2011, in Poznan, working group of Polish Federation of Bone marrow transplant centers, has prepared guidelines on management in prophylaxis, diagnostics and therapy in EBV infections and reactivations in hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantology. in this report, specificity of Polish centers was taken into account
