Abstract

Balneology and physical medicine are fields of medicine using natural methods of treatment and physical factors for therapy, rehabilitation, and prevention of numerous diseases. Most often they are applied during health resort treatment, making up the continuation of ambulatory and hospital treatment of chronic diseases requiring further rehabilitation. Health resort treatment in patients with vessel diseases not only allows the restoration and improvement of disturbed physiologic functions, but also counteracts the development of persistent lesions in vessels. In this review paper the authors present the chosen procedures of health resort treatment used in the therapy of patients with diseases of peripheral vessels.
