Abstract

An aneurysm is a localized dilatation or bulging of the weakened wall of an artery. The most common aneurysm is an abdominal and iliac aneurysm. An aneurysm of the splenic artery (SAA) is the most common aneurysm (60%) of all visceral artery aneurysms. An increasing number of SAAs are related to popularization of ultrasonography and computer tomography studies during examination. There are some disparate techniques of treatment of the SSA. In this paper three cases of SAA are presented and treatment options are reviewed.
