Abstract

Introduction: This paper appeals to contemporary trends in positive prevention and therapeutic practice in the context
of minfulness.

Material and methods: A description of the mindfulness impact on mental processes of children and youth as well
as psychosocial functioning was made Also there are refernces to the specyfic processes from the theroetical model
wchich are activated in mindfulness meditation.

Results: In this part of the article are reffered findings describing results of adopting mindfulness techniques in the work
with children experiencing specific kinds of psychic disturbances along with the short description of the mechanism
influencing the proces of recovering.

Conclusions: This article puts together described findigs with potential difficulties in applying of the method and
situations which require special carefulness with using it.
