Streszczenie

Głęboka stymulacja mózgu (DBS, deep brain stimulation) jest uznaną metodą leczenia zaawansowanej choroby Parkinsona, drżenia samoistnego i dystonii. Obecnie co roku implantuje się DBS u ponad 12 tys. pacjentów i jest to jedna z najbardziej dynamicznie rozwijających się gałęzi neurologii i neurochirurgii. W związku z dużą i ciągle powiększającą się grupą pacjentów z DBS każdy neurolog może spotkać takiego chorego w swojej praktyce ambulatoryjnej czy też na ostrym dyżurze. W poniższej pracy omawiamy najczęstsze problemy, powikłania i szczególne sytuacje kliniczne oraz proponujemy sposoby ich rozwiązywania.
