Prof. Maciej Krzakowski MD; PhD is s specialist in clinical oncology and radiotherapy of neoplastic disease. He is Head of the Department of Lung and Chest Neoplasm in the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, Warsaw, Poland. Since 1998 he has held a post of national consultant on clinical oncology in Poland. Past Chairman and current Board member of The Polish Society of Clinical Oncology. Member of the European Society of Medical Oncology. Since 2015, a chairman of The National Council on Oncology affiliated by Ministry of Health in Poland. Member of The Central Committee for Scientific Titles and Degrees in Poland. Author and co-author of around 300 scientific publications, editor and co-editor of 26 textbooks and monographies. He has held a post of Editor-in-Chief for the Journal since 2005.
