This Journal was established in 2013 at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU) in Torun, Poland as a scientific quarterly, initially under Latin title 'Folia Medica Copernicana'. The title change into 'Medical Resarch Journal' was executed in 2016. MRJ is now a property of Via Medica, still published under auspices of NCU.
