Exercise-induced sudden syncope in competitive runner with latent Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome

Abstract
We present the history of 26-year-old male, competitive runner, who suffered from sudden collpase during long-distance
run. The reason of syncope was clearly revealed in ECG performed soon after the incident. It showed atrial fibrillation with
extremely short refractory period. Patient was advised to restrain from exercise and was referred to ablation of accesory
pathway.
