Viva means life — hemodialysis dogs. A case study

Abstract
This article concerns the description of cases of hemodialysis performed in two dogs suffering from chronic kidney disease. The analysis included laboratory tests proving the safety and efficacy of treatments conducted in small animals. The limitation of widespread use of the method is the high cost of hemodialysis, insufficient availability of dialysis machines and the ethical dilemma associated with the prospect of chronic therapy.
