The role of nurses in hemodialysis for small animals

Abstract

Many small animals suffering from acute or chronic kidney disease are frequent patients veterinary practices. The experience has shown that in the case of acute renal failure due to poisoning and end-stage renal therapy classic limiting the progression of the disease is not sufficient. Usually in both cases, the diagnosis of kidney disease in an animal associated with suffering, weakness and poor prognosis and for the owner, guilt and loss. Medical progress offers new therapeutic options. Rational use of the achievements of modern medicine to the little darlings is a chance to save even an extension of their lives. The aim of this article is to shift the principles of dialysis technique for small animals as well as to draw attention to different aspects of nursing nephrological.
