Extraperitoneal catheter implantation — rare surgical complication. A case report

Abstract
Correct implantation of peritoneal dialysis catheter is crucial to deliver an appropriate treatment with peritoneal dialysis. An experienced surgeon, who is aware that the catheter will be used for many years, should perform catheter implantation. Improper catheter insertion results in complications in the course of peritoneal dialysis therapy.
