IgG4-related kidney disease — what nephrologist should know

Abstract

IgG4-related diseases are relatively newly described group of diseases characterized IgG cell infiltration in affected organs and IgG4 elevated levels of serum immunoglobulin. The disease is usually multiorgan. The most common renal involvement is tubulo-interstitial nephritis. Membranous glomerulonephritis is much less common. This report presents the most important features of IgG4-related kidney disease and methods of its recognition.
