Assessment of knowledge of patients on hemodialysis preferred diet
Abstract
The chronic kidney disease may become in the near future a disease of civilization. The systematic increasing in the number of cases of chronic kidney disease, is connected with longer lifetime and the complications of diabetes and hypertension. Diet of patients is inseparable element on kidneys ill, helping treatment. For this reason, the vast majority of people qualified for renal replacement therapy which does not have adequate knowledge about nutrition, a field of action for educators diet. This article is an attempt to assess patients’ knowledge of the impact of current diet on their health and well-being and preferences in nutriton education. The work is also checking on the real needs of the educational activity for patients treated by hemodialysis.
