Mycophenolate mofetil in therapy of nephrotic syndrome in children

Abstract

Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) has been used inpediatric nephrotic syndrome for decade. Steroid dependentand frequently relapsing nephrotic syndrome is the major therapeutic target. As non-nephrotoxic, MMF is attractive is terms of long-term therapy and conversion from cyclosporine. Therapeutic drug monitoring seems to be reasonable and C₀ should be maintained between 2 and 3 μg/ml.
